SUPPLICIUM is relatively new French Black Metal project, and "Atrae Poenae" is their first label release following their demo "Black Punishment and Apocalypse" in 2006.
Overall a good production with high wiry pitched vocals offset by prominent bass and clear drums. Swedish and some Finnish influences can be heard CRAFT, SARGEIST, FUNERAL MIST etc. It will be hard to tire of this well produced, genuinely aggressive and solidly executed mini-album of 23 minutes.
